159.29 Miles in 2010

2.47 miles tonight on my new (to me) treadmill! I decided to go with the Horizon T81 I found on Craig's List rather than pay twice as much for a new one. That way, if I've made a bad decision and need to upgrade some day, I don't have too much in it. The guy that owns the second-hand place with the scratch and dent deals (new) said he'd call me if they get anything great.

It's a little bigger in our room than I expected it to be, but it will work. We just need to get used to it. There is one other way we can arrange things if we need to try something different. I have my old 19" tv in there with our old DirecTiVo (non-HD). I had no idea what would be on the TiVo, but there were a bunch of Mentalists, a show I haven't kept up with. I might see if I can get some TV on DVD to watch. Meanwhile, I'm also pricing out 32" flat screens. =)

Anyway, I wasn't really feeling the run tonight, but it was nice to have means for a good indoor walk!

So exciting to have your own treadmill! (just a wee bit jealous over here!)

I hope that you enjoy it often and that you just LOVE getting to run with the air conditioning on. THat rocks!

I ran this morning in 90% humidity. OH MY GOODNESS. YUCK. It REALLY slows me down, not to mention that it makes me sweat like crazy, and so I waste lots and lots of energy wiping off my face. Tried sweatbands, and they are not workin' it for me.

I have just bought some small shammies to carry with me when I run (I already run with a belt, so I figure I can just tuck it in when I don't want to hold it). I will let you know how that works.

OH, and I can't remember if I told you, but I bought a running shirt that wicks away the moisture and I cannot believe the difference. I almost feel cool throughout my core even 'till the end of my runs. It makes me never want to run in a cotton tank again. I hadn't realized how heavy they feel and how hot they make me until I had tried the nike dri-fit technology. It's awesome.
