Last night, I decided for a long walk vs. a short run on my treadmill. I wanted to watch Wednesday's SYTYCD, so I pretty much walked for the hour and 10 minutes it took me to watch it for 3.71 miles. My hips feel more worked out than they have in a long time, so I guess it's good to mix things up.

Good for you, Linds! Every step is a good one, whatever the speed.
I have to say that I am even more impressed with you these days as I had to run on a treadmill a few times recently, and it took so much more mental discipline to just stay on it and not give up (although, I have wondered how much of this had to do with having 4 tv's in front of me, none of them with sound, and none of them with anything that I wanted to watch in the least). Regardless, I find running outside that I run farther faster without having to give it so much thought.
